  1. I never imagined I would see a day where tens of thousands of innocent people would be massacred holocaust style with the whole world watching and some even cheering the culprit on. Shame on us! We haven't learnt a thing from history. 2. Almighty. Keep our hearts and faith firm despite these heartbreaking days. Help us to not be discouraged although we’ve been waiting for some time. Help us to keep asking You. We know good things take time and You’re indeed the Best of Planners. Aameen. 3. You may think that things are out of control and humanity is almost extinct. But never doubt that the Almighty is All-Knowing and All-Seeing. What is happening now has to be the stepping stone to something else. Remember, anything under His control is never out of control. 4. Keep going. Keep asking the Almighty for victory. Yes, it’s been over a month. We are tired. Can you imagine how they feel? Right in the eye of the storm! Don’t give up. His help is indeed near! 5. The world has lost i...

  1. Manage your expectations. Don’t expect anything from anyone. Whatever you get in return for your kindness is a bonus. Do things solely for His sake. Your reward is with Him alone. 2. Almighty Allah. Put an end to this traumatic one and a half months. Protect the people of Palestine and pave a way for them to carry on with their lives. May Your Mercy prevail, bringing comfort and safety to the people in these challenging times. Aameen 3. How is it that they’re allowed to say “flatten Gaza” without any repercussions but the minute we highlight their atrocities, we are accused of inciting violence! 4. Be calm. Every oppressor will be dealt with. In this world and the Hereafter! 5. Never in my life did I imagine that such gruesome atrocities would be committed against an entire population, watched by the nations of the world, with some even justifying it. What's worse is that the perpetrators themselves were victims of similar persecution in the not so distant past. The need to r...

  1. O Allah! Protect the people of Palestine as they’re being denied basic human rights. The old, weak and feeble, children and the unarmed are especially vulnerable. Our hearts are heavy and saddened. We pray for Your Help and for peace to be restored. Aameen 2. What the Almighty has planned for you is bigger and better than what you’re imagining. So lay your trust in him, wait patiently and smille. 3. People have become more self-centered. They don’t try to understand the feelings, needs & problems of others. They’re always keen on satisfying their own needs, even by hurting others. Don’t let up. Continue spreading values of honesty, sincerity, integrity & compassion. 4. People will speculate, they’ll think the worst of you, they’ll judge, assume, gossip & backbite. When told the truth, most won’t even bother to correct themselves. Such is the state of humankind today. Protect yourself. Stay away from such sinful acts. 5. Almighty. Protect us from the evils around us...

1.  There’s so much negativity around us that it’s so easy to feel down. Get hold of yourself. Don't let your burdens drown you. Don’t let your trials make you think there’s no way out. Remember, nothing lasts. Start focussing on your blessings, no matter how small.‬ 2. Why is the Almighty taking so long to respond? We hear this almost daily. We’ve wept, we’ve begged, cried our hearts out, but still He’s not answering. Why? Because He, with His Divine and Infinite Wisdom operates on His schedule. But remember, your patience is your Paradise. 3. Not everyone wants the best for you. Not everyone who criticizes you wishes well for you. Don't let others influence your mind and dictate how you should live your life. 4. O Allah. Ease the pain & suffering of the people of Palestine whose lives have been torn apart. Help & protect them. Bestow Your Mercy on them. We pray for those who’ve been killed, the grieving & injured. You’re the Only source of strength. We lay our ...

1.  With no help from the outside world, the level of faith the Palestinians have shown in this calamity is unmatched. It is a clear message to us to be grateful and accept the Almighty’s Decree while trusting that everything comes from Him. He will deal with the oppressors and grant victory to the oppressed. 2. We don’t want war. We want peace. But with no ceasefire in sight, only the Almighty can put an end to this. Keep asking Him. Trust Him unconditionally. 3. Sometimes in your lowest moments, when you least expect it, when you feel most helpless, He reveals a treasure. It could come in many forms, a helping hand, a gentle reminder, advice or even a smile. Surely when He takes something away from you, He gives you something greater in its place. 4. Bear patience. Don’t forget this life is a test. You’re wondering why the Almighty has yet to unleash His Might. He didn’t destroy the Pharaoh immediately. He always gives the wrong doers time to set things right. His timing is perf...

 1. Keep going. Keep asking the Almighty for victory. Yes, it’s been over a month. We are tired. Can you imagine how they feel? Right in the eye of the storm! Don’t give up. His help is indeed near! 2. The world has lost its moral compass. We have an urgent need to get back on track, to distinguish between right and wrong and to navigate complex ethical dilemmas. Stop the genocide in Gaza! 3. Hopelessness is a great sin. It’s often the result of ignorance of the Almighty’s Prowess. One should never give in to despair. Even in the worst case scenario, there’s a glimmer of hope in the heart. Remember His infinite Mercy; He will never turn anyone away. 4. Totally unacceptable. Babies, women, children, the elderly, the disabled, hospitals, schools, ambulances, medics, teachers, residential complexes and much much more. Nothing can ever justify this. Humanity is lost! 5. Once, in a rural village devoid of a permanent Imam, a sheikh took on the role of leading the Taraweeh prayers. Ever...
