life lesson by mufti menk 1. The trouble with many of us is we love to pick on people, jump on their failures and criticize their faults. We do it with such passion like it’s a natural pastime. Bear in mind that it could all come back to us at any time, any day. Remember that what goes around, comes around. 2. It’s common for some to turn back to the Almighty only when a calamity strikes. At other times, they’re happy just being caught up in this worldly life. That is far from ideal. Let’s realign our priorities because we’re supposed to remember Him in both good and bad times! 3. Don’t fear your struggles. Face them head on. It’s part of life. Sacrifice in order to emerge from your life tests in a manner that’s pleasing to the Almighty. Remember, we will ALL be tested. There are no exceptions. Learn to give up the short-term comfort for the long-term win! 4. Don’t look at your problems and think they’re insurmountable. Don’t look at your trials and think no one else has it as bad as

life lesson by mufti menk 1. When missing a penalty makes you cry, But missing a prayer you never cry, Then think of the day when you will die, Upon which of the two shall you rely! 2. Every challenge the Almighty sends your way has a lesson attached to it. You’re meant to learn that lesson. You may be stuck in the same position for a long while if you do not understand what He’s trying to teach you. Once you embrace the test, moving on becomes easier! 3. Don’t fall into this trap. Don’t dwell on how privileged you are. It’s how you end the journey that matters. Strive to live a life that endears you to your Creator. Everything else is secondary. Keep asking for a good end. May He take us when He’s most pleased with us! 4. No matter how tempted you are, don’t form your own conclusion based on what you see. Why? Because you will never know the true situation if you’ve not walked in someone’s shoes. Remember, the ignorant sees only with his eyes. But the wise person sees with his heart

life lesson by mufti menk 1. The Almighty loves it when you seek His help. When you pour your heart out to Him and ask fervently. His job is to make the impossible possible. So never think negatively of Him. We may not know what the future holds but we know who holds the key to the future. 2. Almighty. As the pilgrims gather in #Arafah on this Great Day of #Hajj , we pray that You grant them ease & accept their acts of devotion and worship. May it be a day of total forgiveness for everyone. Aameen 3. They know they’re wrong; but some people find it so hard to apologize! It’s to do with their pride. You can never get them to say sorry, no matter how obvious their mistake or wrongdoing. Beware such pride; for even the size of a mustard seed can bar you from Paradise! 4. Take social media with a pinch of salt. Don’t let it determine your identity. The Almighty doesn’t care if you have one follower or a million followers. He looks at your heart and deeds. So don’t get caught up in t

life lesson by mufti menk 1 . Don’t be so hard on yourself. At the end of the day, remind yourself that you did the best you could today, and that is good enough. The Almighty is not looking for perfection. Far from it. As long as you’re consistently trying and putting in real effort, that’s all that matters. 2. Maturity has nothing to do with age. It’s a state of mind. So don’t be fooled into thinking otherwise. When you’re able to be patient in an impatient society, when you can walk away from things that disturb your peace, when you do what’s right & ignore what’s not, you’ve matured. 3. The pain you’ve endured has a purpose. The Almighty will grant you more strength & perseverance if you have unwavering faith! So be grateful for the trials that He sends your way. He sends the toughest trials to His best soldiers. Look at them positively. Bear good patience. 4. Give generously. No matter how small you think it is, every little bit helps. Every little bit can make a differ

life lesson by mufti menk 1. Deal with your insecurities. If they have been shaped by someone in authority criticizing you, recognize this & understand that people change over time. Forgive the past. Otherwise, insecurity will always keep you on the defensive. You think everyone’s talking about you! 2. When you’ve committed a sin, quickly repent and get back on track. Reflect, show remorse and commit to never make that mistake again but don’t dwell on it. Take a deep breath and remind yourself, this is just a chapter, NOT your whole story. 3. If you want to mend relationships that have soured over the years and you find the other party not forthcoming, don’t despair. You’ve done your part. Keep asking the Almighty to soften hearts. It will happen sooner or later if He wills. 4. Many of us are fooled into believing that we have time. So we put off till tomorrow what we were supposed to do today. Many thought the same. But death overtook them. Don’t lose out. Let this world run its

life lesson by mufti menk 1. Watch your ego. Do you always have to be right? Are you always putting others down for being wrong? You can’t stand it when you’re being corrected. You’re obsessed with blame & shame. Be careful. All this could land you in a big mess. Manage your ego. Be kind & forgiving. 2 . Don’t worry about whatever you lost. It’s the Almighty’s way of reminding you that better things are in store. He will open doors you never imagined and bring about restoration. So don’t be sad and pine over whatever’s gone. Instead, look forward towards what’s to come! 3. When you don’t practice what you preach, this is what happens. You start losing your credibility. Your words start to lose value. Remember, action speaks louder than words. So be mindful when saying something. It’s always easy to engage the mouth even before the brain kicks in! 4. Human beings are trained & conditioned to follow. But ask yourself, do you know what you’re following? Don’t be afraid to b
